As a society, we rush more, we numb more, we disconnect from who we are, from what we really want, from living a deeper life, and from remembering that we are co-creators of our future. I knew I wanted to live a more connected life, but I had no idea how to begin.
I started asking questions. What makes me feel connected to myself? To others? What do I want most in my day? Where can I open up to let more in of what makes my soul shine? I continued to practice yoga and found my way to meditation. Slowly, I started to notice less moments when I was calm one minute and out of control the next. I began to write and it became my deepest form of meditation. I had a taste of what deep peace felt like and I started to crave it.
For the first time, I started asking for what I needed. I quickly learned that we are here to walk along side each other, being one another’s biggest cheerleaders. We aren’t here to merely survive on our own- we are here to help each other thrive! Each of us can be a mirror for someone else to remember who we really are: Connected souls shining brightly from within, who encourage others to do the same.
This is my hope. Start here. Find what you need. Take it with you. Share it. Come back. Let’s start creating a connected community with a commitment to our larger vision of peace by caring for our own selves and for others, so we can all live better, brighter, and more fully.
Thanks for being my “Lucky Penny” today~ so happy you are here!
HOW DID THE NAME LUCKY PENNY FOUND COME TO BE?
Here’s the short version. Each of us is on our own journey. Each of us seeks guidance along the way to help us connect to what matters most. Did you ever find a penny on the ground when you were little? Remember feeling excited? And suddenly feeling lucky? Each Lucky Penny Found is a reminder to find what makes you shine from within and how to connect with what you need from without.
My name is Kimberlea Chabot and I feel lucky to have found my life partner over a quarter of a century ago (Yes, I was still a teenager when I met Paul!) We have three beautiful children. Each one is my greatest blessing- and my greatest challenge to living connected. My passion has always been to teach and to create community. Through the years, I studied to be a yoga instructor, a Reiki master, and an Ayurvedic consultant. These adventures changed the way I saw myself and the world around me. Each was like a stepping stone leading me closer to discovering who I could be in this world and how I can make a difference. I feel lucky to be able to tell my stories and hope it encourages others to do the same. May this be a day that you take what you need and give what you can ~ may you find a Lucky Penny on the ground, and may you be someone’s Lucky Penny Found!
